In 1982 Seiko built a digital watch that changed modes by turning its bezel. It was called the Rotocall, the mechanism was a rotary switch, and Seiko notes that it found a following among astronauts. The Seiko SMGG17P1 carries that idea forward — the bezel is still the control, and turning it still moves you through the functions.
It comes in a stainless steel case and bracelet with a yellow and black bezel, 37.0mm across, with a 100-hour chronograph timing to 1/100th of a second, an alarm, a timer, a second time zone and a calendar programmed to 2074.

What is the Rotocall?
A Seiko digital watch from 1982 whose defining feature was the rotary switch — a mechanism that let the wearer change modes by turning the bezel rather than pressing through them. Seiko notes that the original found a following among astronauts. This reference is based on that design.
Can I swim and shower with it?
Yes. Seiko's guide for 10 bar watches allows accidental splashes, rain, swimming, yachting, showers, bathing and shallow diving. It does not allow scuba or saturation diving, and Seiko gives this watch no diver's designation. Rinse it in fresh water after the sea or a pool. Water resistance is not permanent, so have it checked regularly.
