How is this automatic watch powered?
Wrist movement winds the mainspring, so no battery is required. You can also wind the watch manually using the crown in its normal position. Power reserve is approximately 41 hours when fully wound; actual winding from wear depends on your activity.
What happens if the watch stops?
If left unworn until its power reserve is depleted, the watch will stop. Wind it manually, then reset the time, day and date following the Seiko instructions. A mechanical watch also requires periodic maintenance.
How will it fit my wrist?
The case measures 39.4mm across, 48.1mm lug-to-lug and 13.2mm thick. These dimensions, your wrist shape and how you wear the strap all affect fit. Contact City Chain to check availability for an in-store fitting.
Can I change the strap?
The watch has a 20mm lug width and can accept compatible 20mm replacement straps. Check the strap attachment, spring bars and case clearance before fitting. Replacement straps are sold separately.
Can I swim with it?
The watch is rated to 10 bar (100 metres), suitable for swimming but not scuba diving. Make sure the crown is fully pushed in and do not operate it while the watch is wet. Rinse with fresh water after exposure to salt water or pool water and allow the strap to dry.
How do I set the day and date safely?
Use the crown’s first-click position to adjust the day and date. Do not quick-set either between 9pm and 4am, when the calendar mechanism is engaged. Follow the Seiko 4R36 instructions to establish AM/PM correctly before completing the adjustment.
What warranty is included?
This watch comes with a 3-year Seiko international limited warranty when purchased from City Chain Singapore as an authorised retailer, subject to Seiko’s warranty terms and exclusions. Retain your completed warranty card and proof of purchase. The warranty does not cover every component or all types of damage.
