The CYMA Grand Maestro "The Chess" 40th Anniversary Limited Edition exists for a single reason: to honour City Chain's four decades of horological commitment in a form that will outlast the occasion. Limited to exactly 40 pieces worldwide — one for each year — this is not a commemorative piece in name only.

It is built around the ETA 7751 — one of the most respected automatic movements ever made. Developed by ETA in Switzerland and found in watches from across the Swiss watch industry, the 7751 is a full-rotor automatic with an integrated chronograph and calendar module that has never needed to be reinvented. 25 jewels. 28,800 vibrations per hour. 48 hours of power reserve. It runs whether you wear it or not.

The dial tells two stories simultaneously. The silver-white vertical hairline main dial provides the canvas — precise, restrained, luminous. The dark blue sub-dials sit against it with deliberate contrast: the chronograph counters, the moonphase, the running seconds, each in their own register. On the caseback, the words "In Celebration of City Chain 40th Anniversary" are engraved alongside the brand's motto: Onward, as always.

On the dial, the movement reveals itself completely:

• Chronograph — 30-minute counter at 3 o'clock, 12-hour counter at 6 o'clock. Start, stop, reset with the pushers at 2 and 4.
• Moonphase — the lunar cycle displayed at 6 o'clock, accurate to the astronomical moon within the watch's lifetime.
• Full calendar — day of week and month at 12 o'clock, central date hand. Everything you need to know at a glance.
• 24-hour subdial — day/night indicator at 9 o'clock. Useful for travel, better for conversation.
• Running seconds — small seconds at 9, the heartbeat of the movement made visible.

The 43.5mm case is surgical-grade 316L steel with a screw-down crown and double sealing zones. 10 ATM water resistance. Sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating. The steel bracelet wears with the same quiet confidence as the watch itself.
