The CYMA Intelligentsia -003 is the bracelet variant — the men's Intelligentsia that goes to the boardroom and stays. The 18K yellow gold-plated bezel frames the silver white sunray dial with classic warmth. The two-tone bracelet carries the gold through in alternating links against steel. CYMA was founded in 1862 in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland — the birthplace of Swiss watchmaking and home to some of the most important horological institutions in the world. From the outset, the Schwob brothers built CYMA on a single principle: that a well-made watch should be dependable above all else.
That philosophy was tested and proven under pressure. By the early 20th century, CYMA was supplying military timepieces to armed forces that demanded absolute reliability — watches worn in conditions where failure was not an option. The proprietary Cymaflex shock-protection system and their early advances in water resistance were engineering breakthroughs, not marketing features. CYMA also claimed the chronometer certificate from the Neuchâtel Observatory and first prize for accuracy at the 1910 World Fair in Brussels.
