Is this a limited edition?
Yes. Seiko lists the HGK003P1 as a Seiko 145th Anniversary Limited Edition, and the case back is marked LIMITED EDITION. Seiko's product page does not state the production quantity.
What can the chronograph time?
Up to 60 minutes, in fifth-of-a-second increments. The measurement ends automatically after 60 minutes. Seiko bases the three-year battery life on about an hour of chronograph use a day, so heavier use will shorten it.
What does the 24-hour hand do?
Seiko's instructions say the 24-hour hand moves together with the hour hand and can be used to check whether the displayed time is AM or PM. It is not set separately, so it does not show a second time zone.
Can I swim with it?
Yes. Seiko rates 10 bar for swimming and for diving without an air tank, but not for scuba or saturation diving. Do not turn or pull out the crown while the watch is wet, and do not wear it in a bath or sauna.
Is there a wrong time to set the date?
Yes. Seiko advises against setting the date while the watch is showing a time between 9:00 pm and 3:00 am, as the date may then fail to change the next day.
What warranty does this watch come with?
A 3-year warranty when purchased from City Chain Singapore, an authorised Seiko retailer. It covers manufacturing defects rather than accidental damage or wear, and battery replacement is chargeable even within the warranty period. Keep your warranty card, which Seiko requires for warranty service.
