The A140WEG-9ADR is the gold-tone variant of Casio's newest Vintage digital — and the dressiest of the three A140 colourways launched in June 2026. Gold ion-plated resin case with a rounded bezel top, gold ion-plated stainless steel multi-row bracelet with vertical hairline finishing, and a light gold sunray dial behind the digital LCD. The entire watch is one unified warm metallic tone — case, bracelet, and dial — creating a jewellery-like presence that reads more like a gold bangle than a digital watch.
Module 3298 underneath is identical to the silver A140 variants: 1/100-second stopwatch with elapsed, split, and 1st–2nd place modes, daily alarm with hourly time signal, electro-luminescent backlight (blue glow), auto-calendar, and 12/24-hour format. Seven-year battery life on a CR2016 — the longest in the Casio Vintage lineup. At 39 × 36.8 × 10.4 mm and 60 grams, it wears as the same well-balanced mid-size rectangle, with the gold ion plating adding warmth to the rounded bezel contours and hairline-textured links. Self-adjustable clasp, no tools required.

Why You'll Love It
- The full gold-tone A140 is the dressiest digital Casio Vintage available. Gold ion-plated case, gold ion-plated bracelet, light gold sunray dial — everything in one unified warm metallic tone. It reads as a gold bangle with a digital display rather than a digital watch with gold plating, which is why it crosses over into evening wear and jewellery stacking territory more naturally than the silver variants.
- The light gold sunray dial adds shimmer and depth that a flat gold face would lack. The radiating highlights shift as light moves across the surface, creating a living texture behind the digital segments. The sunray finish is what makes the A140 feel more refined than older gold-tone Casio Vintages like the A168 or A159.
- Gold ion plating is more durable than standard gold paint or lacquer — it resists wear better and maintains its finish longer under daily use. The vertical hairline finishing on each bracelet link adds fine texture that catches light along parallel lines, giving the gold surface depth rather than flat shine.
- The rounded bezel top softens the angular Casio rectangle silhouette. On the gold variant, this contour catches light along the curved edge and creates a warm highlight that runs around the face — a jewellery-like detail that flat-bezel models don't have.
- Seven-year battery life on a CR2016. No solar panel, no Bluetooth, no charging — set it once and forget about it for the better part of a decade. The longest battery in the Casio Vintage lineup.
- The blue EL backlight provides a cool contrast against the warm gold in the dark — an unexpected colour pairing that looks deliberate and distinctive when the light button is pressed at night.

Key Features
- Light gold sunray dial — Sunray finishing behind the digital LCD creates warm radiating highlights. The full gold-tone treatment (case, bracelet, dial) gives the A140 a unified jewellery-like presence.
- Gold ion-plated case and bracelet — Ion plating across the entire case and multi-row bracelet for durable, even warm metallic coverage. More wear-resistant than standard gold paint or lacquer.
- 7-year battery life (CR2016) — The longest battery life in the Casio Vintage lineup. Zero maintenance.
- Electro-luminescent backlight — Blue — Cool blue EL glow against the warm gold creates a distinctive contrast when the backlight is activated in the dark.
- Rounded bezel top with vertical hairline bracelet — Softly contoured bezel catches light along its curved edge. Fine vertical hairline finishing on each bracelet link adds texture and depth.
- 1/100-second stopwatch with split time — Elapsed time, split time, and 1st–2nd place measurement modes, up to 59'59.99".
