The CYMA Grand Maestro "Imperia" is built for a different occasion from the Chess and the Pilot. Where the Chess is a collector's complication piece and the Pilot is a tool watch in dress clothing, the Imperia is a dress chronograph in the truest sense — a timepiece where the movement's complexity serves the occasion rather than the instrument panel.
The 42mm 18K rose gold-plated case is the warmest in the Grand Maestro range. Against the silver white dial, the rose gold reads as formal, considered, and intentional. The alligator leather strap completes the brief — this is the watch that goes with a dinner jacket as naturally as it goes with a suit.
At its heart is the ETA Valjoux 7753 — the crown-at-9 variant of the storied Valjoux 7750 family. 27 jewels. 28,800 vibrations per hour. 54 hours of power reserve. The chronograph pushers at 2 and 4 sit precisely on the rose gold case flanks, accessible without breaking the profile. This is a movement that has earned its reputation across decades of Swiss watchmaking, and the Imperia wears it without needing to explain it.

- Swiss ETA Valjoux 7753 automatic movement — the crown-at-9 variant of one of the most respected chronograph calibres in Swiss watchmaking. 27 jewels, 54-hour power reserve.
- Chronograph suite — 60-second, 30-minute, and 12-hour counters. The complications of a serious watch, presented on a dial built for an evening.
- 42mm 18K rose gold-plated case — warm rose gold plating over surgical-grade 316L steel. The Imperia's defining feature — the warmth that separates it from every other Grand Maestro variant.

CYMA was founded in 1862 in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland — the birthplace of Swiss watchmaking and home to some of the most important horological institutions in the world. From the outset, the Schwob brothers built CYMA on a single principle: that a well-made watch should be dependable above all else.
That philosophy was tested and proven under pressure. By the early 20th century, CYMA was supplying military timepieces to armed forces that demanded absolute reliability — watches worn in conditions where failure was not an option. The proprietary Cymaflex shock-protection system and their early advances in water resistance were engineering breakthroughs, not marketing features. CYMA also claimed the chronometer certificate from the Neuchâtel Observatory and first prize for accuracy at the 1910 World Fair in Brussels.
