The Citizen Attesa AT8295-56E is built from Super Titanium™ with Duratect surface hardening and a DLC coating — a material combination that is roughly 40% lighter than stainless steel and around five times more scratch-resistant. On a 42mm chronograph, that difference is felt every time you put it on.
The black dial carries a distinctive vertical three-register chronograph layout with silver-tone accents and applied details, alongside a date display at 3 o'clock, world time across 26 zones, a perpetual calendar with day and date, 12/24-hour timekeeping and a power reserve display. There are no numerals — the dial relies on markers and applied detail for a clean, technical look.
It also carries Atomic Timekeeping: when you travel to Europe, Japan, the USA or China, the watch receives the local time signal and adjusts its time and calendar automatically. Elsewhere it runs as a precise quartz at ±15 seconds a month. Sapphire glass, 100 metres of water resistance, and Eco-Drive light power that never needs a battery.

Why You'll Love It
- Super Titanium™ is roughly 40% lighter than stainless steel, and Duratect surface treatment makes it around five times more scratch-resistant. A 42mm chronograph that wears this light is genuinely unusual.
- The DLC coating adds a deep, hard black finish that resists marking far better than conventional plating.
- A vertical three-register chronograph is a distinctive layout — the sub-dials stack rather than spreading horizontally, which gives the dial a technical, purposeful character.
- World time across 26 zones and a perpetual calendar make this genuinely useful for travel — the date handles month lengths and leap years automatically, forever.
- Atomic Timekeeping means that when you land in Europe, Japan, the USA or China, the watch picks up the local signal and sets itself — time and calendar, no input required.
- Even without a signal it holds ±15 seconds per month, so accuracy never depends on reception.
- A power reserve display on the dial tells you exactly where the charge stands rather than leaving you guessing.
- No battery, ever. Eco-Drive runs on any light source, and titanium's low thermal conductivity means it doesn't feel cold or hot against the skin the way steel does.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will the atomic timekeeping work in Singapore?
No. Radio time signals are broadcast only in Europe, Japan, the United States and China, and Singapore has no compatible transmitter. In Singapore the watch runs as a precise quartz at ±15 seconds per month, set by hand like any other Eco-Drive. The atomic function comes into its own when you travel to a covered region, where it picks up the local signal and adjusts the time and calendar automatically.
What is Super Titanium™?
It's Citizen's proprietary titanium, treated with their Duratect surface-hardening process. The result is roughly 40% lighter than stainless steel and around five times more scratch-resistant — so a large chronograph like this wears far lighter than its size suggests and holds its finish for years.
What does DLC coating do?
DLC stands for diamond-like carbon — a very hard black coating applied to the surface. It gives a deep black finish that resists scratching and marking considerably better than conventional plating.
What is a vertical three-register chronograph?
The three chronograph sub-dials are stacked vertically down the dial rather than arranged across it. It's an uncommon layout that gives the watch a technical, instrument-like character and keeps the horizontal axis clear.
What is a perpetual calendar?
A perpetual calendar automatically accounts for months of different lengths and leap years, so the day and date displays stay correct without you ever manually adjusting them at month-end.
How long does the charge last?
Approximately 180 days — around six months — from a full charge with no further light exposure. If it enters power-save mode in darkness, that extends to around 10 months. A power reserve display on the dial shows you where you stand at any time.
What is Eco-Drive?
Eco-Drive is Citizen's light-powered movement technology. A cell beneath the dial converts any light source — sunlight, a lamp, an overhead office light — into energy stored in a rechargeable cell, so the watch never needs a battery.
Does titanium feel different from steel?
Yes, noticeably. It's substantially lighter, and because titanium conducts heat poorly it doesn't feel cold when you first put it on or warm up in the sun the way a steel watch does. It's also hypoallergenic, which suits anyone sensitive to steel alloys.
Can I swim with this watch?
Yes. At 100 metres (10 ATM) it's rated for swimming and snorkelling. It isn't designed for diving.
Will 42mm fit my wrist?
42mm runs slightly larger than the standard 40mm men's size and suits medium to larger wrists well. At 10.7mm thick it's genuinely slim for a chronograph with this many functions, and the titanium construction means it wears far lighter than a steel watch of the same size.
Is the bracelet adjustable?
Yes. The bracelet can be resized by adding or removing links. City Chain offers complimentary bracelet sizing at any outlet — bring your warranty book along for the service.
What warranty does this watch come with?
The AT8295-56E comes with a 3-year warranty when purchased from City Chain Singapore, an authorised Citizen retailer. Keep your warranty card and proof of purchase — both are required when submitting the watch for service at any City Chain outlet.
