A cell beneath the dial converts any light source — sunlight, a lamp, an overhead office light — into energy stored in a rechargeable cell, so the watch never needs a battery. Wear it normally with occasional light exposure and it stays charged indefinitely.
How long does the charge last if I stop wearing it?
Approximately 6 months from a full charge with no further light exposure. If the reserve runs low, an Insufficient Charge Warning function alerts you so you can put it back in the light before it stops. A short session in direct sunlight or under a bright lamp restores charge quickly.
What is the Time Setting Warning?
If the watch fully discharges and stops, the movement flags that the time needs to be reset once it's recharged, so you know at a glance that the displayed time isn't accurate yet.
What does a screw-down caseback do?
It seals the back of the case more securely than a standard snap-fit caseback, adding an extra layer of protection to the watch's water resistance rating.
Can I swim or shower with this watch?
