THE ELEGANT BRONZE PATINA CAPTURES THE IMAGINATION. THEN PERFORMANCE SETS IT FREE.
A pilot watch that equally stands out for its design and technology, the Engineer III Marvelight Bronze Star is built to withstand extreme conditions, provide unmatched readability, and even reveal history. Its patented SpringLOCK® system reduces shock impact, its mu-metal shield ensures anti-magnetic protection to 80,000 A/m, and legendary micro gas tubes shine bright in darkness. Yet, its character shines in bronze. Based on your experiences, the bronze case will age and transform over time, resulting in a truly individualized timepiece. With a beautifully unique patina and advanced performance technology, the Engineer III Marvelight Bronze Star belongs on two kinds of runways.

WRITE YOUR STORY IN BRONZE.
The 43mm case and screwed-in crown are made of the finest bronze, comprised of a copper-aluminum alloy. When exploring in harsh conditions and even during everyday wear, the bronze provides incredible impact strength and corrosion resistance. In addition to exhibiting all-around toughness, bronze ages in a way all its own. Its patina will transform based on each wearer’s individual experiences. No two watches will look the same – and every watch will have its own story to tell.
THE BEST DEFENSE FOR THE MOST DELICATE.
Like any mechanical watch, the accuracy of the Swiss-made BALL RR1102-SL automatic movement depends on the extremely fragile balance spring. Our revolutionary SpringLOCK® anti-shock system reduces the balance spring’s shock impact by 66%. The patented system employs a cage that surrounds the balance spring and limits the unfurling of the coils in case of any external impact. It considerably diminishes the risk of breakage to the link between the balance spring and the balance, as well as damage caused by unexpected movements that could deform the shape of the balance-spring itself.

MORE METAL MEANS MORE PROTECTION.
Bronze isn’t the only special metal that delivers high performance. Our anti-magnetic mu-metal shield – made of nickel, iron, copper and molybdenum – ensures extremely high magnetic permeability, enabling it to attract and deviate static or low-frequency magnetic field lines. The use of mu-metal is a genuine industrial feat, capable of protecting a mechanical watch against magnetic fields up to an astonishing intensity of 80,000 A/m.
FOR DISCOVERIES THAT CAN ENLIGHTEN.
With a total of 15 tritium micro gas tubes on the hands and dial, reading the time in dark and low-light conditions can be done at a glance. While the index at 12 o’clock stands out in orange, the rest of the markers deliver a superb and intense green glow. Revealed in darkness, this play of colors makes telling the time enjoyable and easy. Micro gas tube technology provides self-powered brightness that can last for 25 years – along with light that is 100 times brighter than the conventional luminous paints commonly used in the watch industry.
